Samhain 2025

What a beautiful Samhain gathering we had!

We began with song as we love to do, calling in the ancestors to join us in peace. We then carved rutabagas and turnips as our Northwestern European ancestors would have done traditionally. Next we split for group divination and ancestor luminaries and remembrance bottles.

Dinner was both beautiful and delicious due to the efforts of all who brought food, especially our amazing food team. Our last activity was a group storytelling that began with a girl walking at night followed by many portals, dinosaur fairies, and ultimately a confession of love to her best friend and their happily ever after.

As we left we had our jack o' lanterns lit by the communal fire to bring warmth and light home with us through the dark half of the year. This gathering was only possible thanks to all the hard work of our facilitators, generosity of donations, and the participation of attendants to make the magic. Thank you to all!
