Meet the facilitators

Nourishing Kin’s facilitators are the team who plan and lead in person gatherings. They also work behind the scenes to make sure that every aspect of Nourishing Kin runs smoothly. They share a passion and love for the mission of Nourishing Kin and they each embody deep connections with land, ancestors, and community in their personal lives.

Fawn (she/Her)

A love for the earth, history, and ancestry have been the central threads weaving through Fawn’s life since childhood. Combined with a passion for tradition, ritual and celebration, Fawn has been involved in many of the living folk arts and traditions of the British Isles and has focused her academic studies in History, Folklore, and Anthropology. Following her heart and the call of her ancestors, she lived in the UK for 10 years, immersing herself fully in the culture and history of the British Isles. She currently lives in Bountiful, Utah with her husband and their four children. You can connect with Fawn on Instagram @round.the.year

Madee (she/her)

Madee is thrilled to put her finance background to work by helping to build Nourishing Kin. She also generously shares her grounding, playful presence in our community. Her ability to create meaningful, reciprocal relationships with all her kin rather than the transactional relationships she was taught is a gift she shares freely. Madee firmly believes that the most practical acts are simultaneously deeply spiritual, and finds joy in being able to blend the two. She lives in Heber, UT with her partner and their four children.

Kierstyn (she/they)

Rooted in deep love for the land and our other than human kin, Kierstyn is grateful to be part of Nourishing Kin. Their animist journey has been threaded through formal studies in psychology and religion, where she was always searching for meaningful connections that ended up being under their feet and surrounding her the whole time. She approaches her animist tradition through folklore, song, and ritual. Kierstyn is passionate about providing space for others to engage in relationship with the land, ancestors, and kin through gentle and embodied practices. They currently live in West Jordan, Utah with their wife.
